Today I walked out to the barn feeling much better than I have for the past few days. I had my camera with me and was giddy with all of the snow. My girls were in their stalls. Sarge was romping around in the snow, very happy to be here. My mom brought Finale out first and she was a joy to take pictures of. She was running around, hyped up about all of this "strange white stuff". It was hilarious to watch her snort at the snow and fling the snow up with her nose. Hope came out next, who was rather disappointing to take pictures of. She decided to dig up the hay that was partially buried in under the snow. Cherish came out next and soon after we began to play with them at Liberty. They left and began to play with each other. Hope especially seemed nervous with all of the snow and had her tail high, snorting and jumping through the snow. I got a lot of pictures that I hope to post tomorrow.
All three of them were beautiful playing in the snow. Afterwards my mom, brother, and I made a snow man which my brother named "Toasty". We made snow angels all over the place. I had my full intake of snow, most of it purposefully. My mom, Kyle, and I had great fun running around and falling in the snow. At one point Sarge stole Kyle's glove and we had to run around trying to get it back from him. Eventually I got frustrated enough that I stopped playing and told him to "Wait." This command, for him, means stop, sit, and drop whatever you have in your mouth or give it to me NOW. It always works very well for him, and he stopped and hovered his butt above the snow (deciding it was too cold to sit in), then dropped it and gave me a sad face. Ruby had chosen to stay inside and Georgia was shivering in the barn. My little brother went to his friend's house after a while (just down the road) and my mom and I decided to attempt to sled across the street. The little saucers that we were attempting to sled with were very sad, most likely being four year old size. We tried our hardest anyway and had great fun. Afterwards we walked down the road to where Kyle was at his friend's house because they had actually created a miniature "sled-louge" or something like that. They had spent ten hours creating this thing down their steep driveway and it had a very slick, tightly packed bottom with walls of snow on each side. At the end it had an up slope that stopped you almost every time... but not always. My mom, my brother, Jackson, Chris, their dad, and I all had great fun whizzing down the path.
I should probably go to sleep now. Goodnight.
